Getting the most out of community resources
p. 297
My clinical teacher and I are working on a variety of projects that teach the students about their community. It would be very helpful to have experts on different elements of our community speak to our students. Networking with a variety of individuals and programs will help us to gain access to the resources we need to give students a good picture of their community.
When you have found a community service expert
p.297
This list of ideas will be very helpful for me and my clinical teacher. We received a grant to buy a variety of bugs and educational supplies to teach our students about bugs, things necessary to sustain life, differences in habitats, etc. As part of this project we want to schedule bug experts from the community to come and share their expertise with the students. I see how every suggestion in this list will help our meeting with the expert to go smoothly.
